Thank you so much for attending Back to School Night at Sela. If you would like to check out our PowerPoint presentation, you can view it HERE!.
Friends have been working so hard! Our brain muscles are growing stronger and stronger every day. In order to recognize our friends' hard work, every month, the class votes on our Student of the Month. Here's a peek at some of our leaders so far this year...
NWEA Testing
We will have our winter round of NWEA testing on Wednesday, Feb 7th and Thursday, Feb 8th. There will be no homework this week.
Below is our testing schedule:
8:45-9:45, Feb 8th- Math
8:45-9:45, Feb 9th- Reading
Please make sure your child rests up and arrives on time for testing. It is hard to schedule make up testing and it is ideal that all children receive the full amount of time. In order to provide the best testing environment possible, we would like to have minimal interruptions and avoid our friends coming in late and feeling stressed. Good luck to all friends!

Room Parent
Goal: Each Sela classroom will have one parent who serves as the Room Parent. Essentially, this parent serves as a liaison for parents and teachers.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- foster a sense of community amongst families in the classroom
- plan at least one event for the classroom community per school year
- communicate and follow up on teacher needs/requests for the classroom, as needed
- for example, if egg cartons are needed, the Room Parent will help spread the word and collect materials for the teacher
- help coordinate an end-of-school-year gift for each teacher in the classroom
- additional responsibilities as requested by the classroom teacher or as approved by the FSA
- NOTE: this position is not meant to be parental oversight of what happens in the classroom. If there are other items a Room Parent wishes to do, please communicate this idea first with the classroom teacher and with the FSA
